Dell Hull, a watchmaker, invented a new kind of fishing reel that prevented backlash. The Zero Hour Bomb Company took interest in the product and produced the Zebco 33 or America’s Reel. The Brunswick Company came along a decade later and in 1961 purchased the company. Forty years later in 2001, the company changed hands once more after being sold to the W.C. Bradley Company. Striving to keep up the company’s good reputation, the new owners kept the sales, marketing and development departments at their original Apache Street Location.
