Wow! The Spinfisher is one of the best Spinning Reels that I have ever had the pleasure of using. Smart and sleek, its durable metal body and corrosion-free parts make it the type of reel a person can use for years and years. I took mine out for a go last weekend and was really pleased with the results. In fact, I’m writing this review to explain exactly what I liked and didn’t like about fishing with the Penn Spinfisher Spinning Reel.

When it comes to appearance, the Spinfisher isn’t much different than the other reels that I have used. It is a little heavier due to its full metal body and rotor. On a scale of 5, this reel’s looks rates a 3.5.

High performance parts make it one quality piece. Rust-free and corrosion-free features take the guesswork out of caring for the reel. I like anything that does the work for me. In terms of quality, it’s a 4 for me.

Achieving exactly what it sets out to do, the Penn Spinfisher Spinning Reel makes it easy to catch bigger fish with stronger line. Performance is a 4.5 because it gets the job done efficiently.

Mid-range in price but having a lot to offer, this reel is a 4 in terms of cost. Anglers of all types will enjoy the ease in which they cast and catch fish. An investment and great reel for beginners.

Generous with features including the power knob and techno-balanced rotor. I think 3.5 is fair considering how many things you can do with this reel.

Built to handle a lot of different environments, the design isn’t much different than other spinning reels. 3.0 for ergonomics.

A variety of applications can be used with the Spinfisher. Harsh saltwater conditions are no match and larger fish don’t stand a fighting chance with this reel. 4.5 for application.

I really enjoyed my experience with the Penn Spinfisher Spinning Reel. I’m thinking about buying a second reel for my son to take with him on our next excursion.
