The Team Daiwa Advantage Baitcasting Reel is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Picking up right where the standard models left off, this reel is innovative in design and features. I knew from the minute that I saw it that it was the reel for me.

Made from quality parts and carefully crafted, the Advantage is refined and therefore receives a rating of 4.0 on a scale of 1 to 5 for construction.

Powerful and speedy, this reel need little fine tuning. An adjustment in weight might just be the answer. In terms of performance, it gets a 3.5.

Priced affordably, there is no arguing that you get what you pay for. Containing the same number of features as higher priced reels, the Advantage gets a 4.5 for cost.

Magforce-Z and other great features like its swept handle and Super Drag, the reel scores high in features and gets a ranking from me of 4.0.

Designed like a larger version of the Sol, the powerful Advantage can shave off a few ounces and really be a stellar reel. 3.5 for ergonomics.

Not so great in slower applications but very good for burning baits or pitching jigs, the Team Daiwa Advantage Baitcasting Reel is a virtual powerhouse. 3.0 in terms of application because the reel isn’t appropriate for all applications.
