I can’t say enough good things about Abu Garcia’s REVO S Series Baitcasting Reel. It’s my first time using the brand and to be quite honest, I’m glad I finally gave it a chance. Before, I was never really interested in low profile baitcast reels but for some reason, I felt compelled to try the REVO. I’m so glad that I did. I am really pleased with the results.

Made out of some the finest materials there is, the sturdy aluminum frame is built to last. Silver with gold touches on the spool and ported handle, the reel is attractive and easy to handle. 10+1 stainless steel bearings and magnetic cast control help the REVO perform. I’d give it a 4 out of 5 in terms of appearance.

I used a variety of lures with this reel and had consistent and satisfactory results. The carbon fiber drag really does its job. I especially appreciate the external cast control adjustment and think that it is an added featured for anyone who likes to fish. Outstanding performance deserves a 4 rating as well.

Priced competitively, I find that it’s worth the extra cost to buy a reel that lasts. Cost gets ranked a 3 because some new anglers may shy away from the REVO after they see its price tag.

Fully loaded with features, the REVO earns 4.5 out of 5. I can’t get over what a complete package this reel is. With its Carbon Matrix Drag System, stainless steel bearings, Linear Magnetic Brake System and Titanium Nitride wormshaft, there really isn’t much more you can ask for in a product.

Relatively lightweight and easy to palm, the REVO easily deserves a 4.5 for design.

Great for freshwater and compatible with any type of lure, this reel really stands out in a crowd. 5 out of 5 for application! I have recommended it to all of my friends.
